Hot pink locations
I asked why we had quite such blindingly pink location signs and was told it was for better visibility for all the night shoots. These unit signs are probably less needed in the days of sat nav but over the years scouring the country with movement orders balanced on the steering wheel, wishing I’d started at the production office where they all begin, I have always been relieved by the first glimpse of one.
I like the one up the end that says ‘lunch’. On a film set lunch is whenever you break for the main meal so can be at 6pm or even 1am.
The day started with more leaks at the studio and more men up on the roof. And a dire warning about the electrics. We had our production meeting which was less lengthy than it can be as we mainly shoot on two huge sets.
Trouble shooting all afternoon and then flew home early evening, a bit delayed as a tire had to be replaced on the plane. Many of the passengers filmed it on their phones as we sat at the departure gate…what for? Evidence?
