Orkney - West Mainland

Well no-one saw this coming at 10.00hrs this morning, least of all the World Symposium on Meteorology.  For it was dingan’ doon and black as one’s proverbial hat.  So, after a snackette, we decided to walk between Skara Brae and Yesnaby.  Even though we hadn’t visited for a while we decided to eschew the Baedeker.
 
With a high degree of inevitability the Hoy Hills provided the backdrop.
