Long day!

School run, family,
walks, physio, cakes, wrapping,
tidy, wash, meal prep.

It feels a long time since this morning.  Ben wouldn't get out of the car for school this morning, so that was a pain, then he had an insulin pump change with the nurse but he messed with the handset and the system crashed.  So I was walking Leo in the park, next door to school getting calls to try and make the pump work again.. it's like describing to someone how to drive and use the pedals, you might do it 10 times a day but unless it's in front of you, it's suddenly really abstract to explain!  Anyway, we sorted it and it sounds like his day wasn't too bad, considering they took him cycling and swimming.  I had a walk with Leo (see pic).. just at this point I was distracted talking to the nurse and I turned around and he was playing with a poor bee, I may have shrieked.  But we won't talk about that.  My mum and step dad came for lunch and to watch Leo whilst I went to the physio, I was running late as I tried to squeeze in a supermarket shop since I was 'free'.  Physio was OK and then raced back to pick up Leo so I could get to school for Ben. He had a bit of a wobble about getting in the car but nowhere like yesterday.  At home we've wrapped presents and made some  rocky road for Mr KCNQ2Haiku's birthday tomorrow.  Exciting!  He's off work so we can have a bit of a "Grown Up/Dog" day.  There's been loads of other washing and tidying.. boring stuff but it's OK because I feel like I'm on a four day weekend now..
