The doors

Back in Funchal for a final explore. We bought bus passes and headed up to Monte and the Palace gardens. A big grey cloud was sitting on the hill so it was a bit chilly wandering round - but didn’t quite rain.
The gardens were established as a collection for an estate - lots of landscaping, ponds, streams, bridges and also stairs galore. Plus a Coll Erin of African stone artwork, and a collection of mineral stone. Quite a quirky place in all.
