View from PQ
I was at BBC Scotland's Pacific Quay (PQ) in Glasgow today, as a guest on BBC Radio Scotland's newish Culture Studio programme with Janice Forsyth.
It's on from 2pm-4pm, Monday to Friday.
The topic was the Art of Humour and it was inspired by an exhibition at The Kilmorack Gallery near Beauly, of the same name.
Gallery owner, Tony Davidson was in the Inverness studio to tell us more about the exhibition, which features work from a wide range of artists, including Helen Denerley, George Wyllie, Michael Forbes, Eduard Bersudsky, David Kemp, Alan MacDonald & Colin Brown.
It was a lively discussion, and we ended it by wracking our brains to think through annals of art history for a poster boy or girl in the pure dead funny department.
I came up with Hogarth and we all agreed that Salvador Dali would be fun to go on a night out with but he wasn't overly side-splitting in the laughter department in his paintings.
The programme should be on the iPlayer but I'm not keen on listening again when it's myself I have to listen to...
I took this pic on the way out. The newsroom has a stunning view from the fourth floor of PQ over to the north side of the Clyde where the new Hydro venue is slowly taking shape alongside all the other Clyde-built landmarks.
