Dark Sky

When rewatching Paterson the other day I checked out who had written the poems, an American called Ron Padgett, I think influenced by Paterson’s favourite William Carlos Williams. So while waiting for the sun I decided to have a go;

The olive tree is
small and perfectly formed.
Ageing with grace.
Providing fruit,
and a golden oil.
That nourishes the soul.
And makes you ageless.
