Mothering Sunday

I was delighted to have a visit from my three children and three grandchildren this morning. I hope they don't feel the pressure of Mother's Day - especially as the wee ones have their own mums to think about. What a treat for me to have them here though. I was given some gifts which I will enjoy. The tulips I popped into a jug which belonged to my mum and which last featured on blip here. This day isn't always an easy one and is downright painful for many people.

M. went off on his long journey south earlier and the house feels quiet and empty now. It's quite nice just to have a day with few demands and pottering  is an excellent pass time.

Getting ready for the week ahead will take up a bit of the remainder of the day.
