Consultation on the green

The weather couldn't have been better for standing around talking to people passing by about plans to improve a public area in the neighbourhood. It's currently a wasted space which could be made much more pleasant, accessible and better used. It's the bit of land which Libra blipped earlier in the week. 

Plans have been drawn up by local landscape architects and today they were on show with the  opportunity for comment and Q&A. To make the plans happen will require substantial funding so this really is a first step.

Lots of people have stopped to talk. There's been a leaflet drop and chat with the people most directly affected. The local organisations involved have information on their websites and there's a dedicated email address for comments. The plans will be available to look at for another week or so. It would be very exciting to see them realised.
