Arts and Crafts

This afternoon we went to Blackwell House. The most beautiful and stunning works of the Arts and Crafts period. This cabinet handle was one of my favourites, so simple and perfect. I love it. 

So many lovely pieces, carving, inlay, ceramics, wallpaper, painting and stitching. From rugs on the floor to embossed ceilings, light fittings to coal scuttles. 

Well worth a visit if you are anywhere near Windermere.
