CPD day

A busy day of refreshing my tour guide brain with the morning at Skara Brae and Skaill House and the afternoon at St Magnus cathedral. Really great sessions laid on for the guides which were informative and entertaining.

My brain is now stuffed full fascinating updates and new information. Quite a few things that I need to unlearn some previous facts that have now been superseded. Lots of new info about Neolithic indoor toilets, secret passageways, carbon dating, genetic studies, medieval graffiti, pilgrims eating stone dust and where to find the Sheelagh na gig.
