Rain Stops Play!

I had a trip into Ross on Wye to use the recycling facilities and stopped off on the way home at Riverside to take a panormaic view of the town in the sunshine. The photo' shows St Mary's Church Spire dominating, and the River Wye to the right of the picture.

The oldest daughter and Amelia arrived for Mother's Day, followed by oldest son James to watch the Rotherham v Cardiff City FC match that kicked off at 3pm.  Within five minutes Cardiff were ahead and dominated the first half.

During half time the heavens opened in Rotherham and the pitch so badly flooded the referee called the players off the pitch. Although the rain only lasted fifteen minutes, after nearly an hour it was still so waterlogged it was decided to abandon the match!  Rain stopped play!  Wall to wall sunshine in Herefordshire!

Our neighbours are around this evening for drinks and a catch-up.
