So little water

It does not look like we are going to get the rain this month which Meteo France said would be the last chance to restore some of the water table. Canigou has lost most of its snow cap which usually lasts until the end of May. We have only had a quarter of the normal rainfall since last summer and the main reservoir that fills to supply the orchards and smallholdings lower down the main valley is well down. To give you some idea, after heavy winter rain, the river water can mount well up the side walls.
In the morning, I had planned to join Anthony to sort out the submissions for the Prefecture but the national site is still down so instead I wrote a talk for a forthcoming service I will have to take. It has been a lovely day after the heavy mist lifted in the morning and there were six of us at tennis practice in the afternoon and we had some excellent games.
