A grand day out

We woke to a beautiful sunrise and promise of a bright day. It did not quite go like that as it soon clouded over but it was dry and calm so could not complain .
We went to Dores and had a walk along the beach. Great views down the Glen. Geese flew overhead, surprising us as they had been hidden by a raise in the field next to us. Birds sang in the bushes. One brave lady went in for a dip, filmed by a fancy camera. A lady walking her dogs stopped for a chat. She was married in Urquhart castle 17 years ago and it had poured with rain all day.
We drove past Loch Ruthven. Beautiful snow covered views. The highlight was seeing two brown hares dashing across the moor. We saw a herd of red hinds , all stopped and looked up to watch us watching them.
We found a nice spot to stop and eat our Turkey Rolls and crisps and then drove home.
Spotted some Highland cows hiding behind some trees. Lots of red kites about , displaying high up in the sky :)
