Nothing much

It was difficult to get motivated today.  I started with BP and then decided to have a swim.  OH was playing golf with No.2, J and P so I didn't have to rush back.  I managed 32 lengths then ten minutes in the steam room.  Home to contemplate the rest of the day. I wanted to get in the garden but it is still too wet everywhere so managed a bit of greenhouse pottering and planted some more seeds.  The greenhouse is my refuge at the moment and I listened to the Archers omnibus while I pottered.  I came in and started to prep dinner (I had bought a gammon and roasted it for ham, egg and chips), and decided to get on with some sewing.  I had bought some fabric a while ago to make a new runner for the kitchen table.  It started well until I realised that I had cut the lining too small so abandoned it for another day.

The photo is of the daffodils in the garden - we plant a few extra each year and they are just coming into bloom - looking cheerful in the gloom.  Roll on summer!
