Siamese Strawberries
I loved these, how they had grown together, it made me giggle. Not sure why. Maybe the sun was getting to me!
Spent a lovely day visiting Charleton Fruit Farm near Montrose which is about 40 minutes from our house. The photos on the site don't do the place justice. It was amazing. We had lunch first and it was almost all home grown/home made, or at least local. Was delicious!
Then we headed to the park area with the kids. You didn't pay a penny and there was everything you could think of. 12ft trampolines sunk into the ground, a massive wooden fort with slides, loads of ride on diggers and tractors, a go kart track, hay bales to play and hide in. You could walk in there, spend the day and all free? Obviously the idea is you buy food and fruit and go in the gorgeous gift shop too.
It's a bit too early in the season for the pick your own to be open, but having been once, we'll definitely be back. The weather was lovely, and I think it's fair to say hubby is much the same colours as the siamese twins here ;)
