Our latest project

This woodpile is two metres high, and fifteen metres long, and has been behind the henhouse for, we think, at least twenty years! At one end the stack has collapsed, due to our ex-gardener allowing his son to climb on it, and the top of it is covered with ivy.
The wood at the top and the bottom of the stack is almost rotten, but the layer through the middle is dry and still perfect, and those are the logs we are transferring into the log shed.
It’s exhausting work!
