Red Legged Partridge #32
An expensive day - car went in for MOT and failed, which was a bit of a shock. Something to do with the rear suspension and also an advisory for the brake pads/disks. As it was brakes, we didn't want to risk it so got them done too, even though they will last a bit longer. £400 later and we are good for another year.
We took a drive out this afternoon to see if there were any hares about on Moss Lane. It wasn't that nice and both the ones we could see were hunkered down for the whole time we were there. There were loads of wood pigeons and jackdaws on the field munching on something, plus some distant grey partridge and a few of these red-legged partridges. When it started to rain we headed home, picking up a lawn mower and extension lead for the butterfly house.
I'm not really enjoying this weather - I wish it would brighten up a little and stop raining...
