Yesterday's blue skies and mildness doggedly followed the instructions of the weather forecast and drab greyness set in for the day. You can just see the raindrops in the background of this shot.

Long tailed tits seem always to look more furry than feathered, and a bit of dampness does nothing to help. Even so they're fun little things and I've not seen that many this year. 

This one has been ringed... It brings to mind all the debates about ID cards and tagging criminals, and I wonder how the non-human world feels about being so identified. On that subject, voter id... have you got yours?
