Snowy Morning Commute

A few inches of snow fell overnight, and continued with snow showers throughout the day.  There has been sunny spells too.  Gales blowing all day.

A morning around the house, cleared the car and then headed for a late shift in the airport. There's been various delays due to weather at Sumburgh, also south airports too.  Some perfectly on time.  Our last flights just made it out before the airport shut, 2145, giving us a 2200hr finish.  Feet up by the fire now.  Niece Megan finally made it home from London, also cousin Leona and Irvine arrived on the same flight and gave Megan a lift.  Another wait at Sumburgh for me wouldn't have been good.  Need a cuppa and telly now.

The big thaw didn't last long, back to snow today.  Thankfully being on a late shift means I missed the early hours of the snow, the roads had been well treated and cleared.  The roads got worse again throughout the day, with all public transport being cancelled.  It did make me worry about my commute home tonight, thankfully they were fairly clear all the way.  My commute along the A970, looking towards Pundsta Place, Laxdale Road and a chilly Hoofield towering over, Cunningsburgh.
