Cleared Fanns

Grey skies this morning, but cleared into a sunny day.  A windy day, that wind chill was baltic.  Some snow showers this evening, much calmer too.

Another day off and up early.  A morning puttering about the house, even managed to get washing out.  I headed north for a run in the car.  Picked up Laura from the hospital this afternoon, and we tool the dogs for a walk.  Headed to mam's this evening. We were going to fetch Megan from the airport, but she was bumped from the flight.  I nearly ran over a long eared owl, thankfully it flew away.  Popped by Laura's for an update of Shaun, and he's much better, still in hospital.  More walkies, now feet up.

The towe (thaw) has fairly got rid of most of the snow from Lerwick and south, but not made much of an odds to my eyes when heading north.  The sides roads were fairly clear, but still fanns (drifts) in places, and I nearly got stuck a few times.  The gritter men have been worked hard this past week, but have done an incredible job keeping us safe.  After chugging through snow, I could finally safely stop to snap some fanns.  Taken at the Roe Brecks, Sullom.
