The Fallas

Early evening on Saturday, there was
an enormous parade through the streets of Benidorm…
leading up to the Church on the Headland.

Over a thousand people took part….
Most wearing traditional Valencian costumes,
And all carrying bunches of flowers….
To decorated the entrance to the church.

Leading the Parade ….
A Statue of the Virgin Mary… was carried at shoulder height
And was followed by many of the City ‘s VIPs …
bands, and the Penyas
