The port of Jakarta
Today we arrived at Jakarta, the capital of Java and Indonesia. To say that the port is industrial is an understatement and it handles more than 50% of Indonesia's trans shipment cargo traffic. Glamorous it isn't although extremely interesting with constant activity.
A number of passengers were hardy enough to go on a excursion, but as we have visited this city before, we enjoyed the relative peace and quiet of the half empty ship instead.
In extras: the Red Duster: a flag flown by British or merchant ships since 1707.
