The Commercial Hotel, as was.

It's been Pebbles for rather a long while... I can't quite remember how long - suffice to say, I met The Love of my Life there... 1986... and there were a few other nights before that.

This is the centre of Troon's Night life. Well, actually apart from the Pubs it is the night life.

Before it was Pebbles, it was The Commercial. A good old fashion pub / hotel with a couple of rooms up stairs, a bar with pool table, a lounge, (Same as the bar but without the pool table), and a function suite through the back.

My cousin had her 21st Birthday there...."Virginia Plain" was playing, so you get an idea of the year that was.

Many a good drink had been had there and many battle over the pool table. I remember Pool competitions late on a Sunday evening, when dancing had been completed at the Anchorage - they used to have a Disco on Sunday afternoons, 2 - 6... And everywhere in town benefited from that. No one wanted to go home, everyone want to "party on".

Great fun at the time, but it made Monday mornings atrocious.
