New caravan day
Early start to get up and organised to head down to Scotch Corner. We had planned to leave by 9 and we were only 30 minutes later than planned. Phin was quite comfortable in the back seat instead of the boot and slept most of the way.
We only needed one pit stop at Alnwick and jade it to the dealership on time for our 1pm appointment. Walk through if the caravan before we were hooked up and ready to go. We had a bite of lunch in the on-site cafe, all freshly cooked to order, picked up some bits and pieces in the shop and then headed to the site for the first night of our 2 day stay to test things out.
I was navigating and unfortunately missed a turn off so we had to continue into Richmond where we found a roundabout to get turned around. Eventually found the site in Hudswell which is a little soggy so we’re on a gravel pitch beside the shed! It’s fine but not the best views although it’s been raining constantly since we pitched up. I took Phin off to walk in the woods - very muddy and very steep where we found this wee stream which I thought would work for MonoMonday. Thanks to KangaZu for hosting.
Quick shop at the supermarket in Catterick and we’re in for the night. Van is nice and cosy and Phin has already staked his claim to one of the rear bunks.
Behind with journals (again), will catch up soon. Thank you for bearing with me.
