Moving forward

Results day, Day 16 post op.
I was on tender hooks all day waiting for the Consultant to call at 1.50pm. Hard to know what’s going on inside your body so I was preparing myself for good or bad news. Luckily Mr Daltrey started the conversation with ‘ Well you certainly get the prize for the best reaction to treatment ‘ . Even people who have had chemo do not get such good results so I’ve been very lucky.Phew, good news. He removed an 18mm area, much less than what he was expecting .Just a few cancer cells present , none in the margin or in the one lymph node he removed. No invasive cancer, thank goodness as it was not looking good from the initial scans and mammograms .I still have to have radiotherapy that should be finished by the Summer. The team will be in contact for a video call to explain everything and then a CT scan to be ‘measured up’ so they can target the spot .
Needed a walk on the beach afterwards to clear my head. Cold but beautiful and just us so even better :)
