What a wonderful day
A busy day started with watching online as some chicks hatch at Dalscone , maran chickens , very cute. Then Farmer Rob , CHF, was on after celebrating his Dads 80th birthday. A great live with a ride to check on the sheep and see one of Rogers favourite viewpoints. Some funny bits too when Dick the builder phoned to say he had cleared the drains but was in need of a clean jumper , I’ll leave it up to your imagination what he said was on it ;)
We met David had at Tesco and had a tasty breakfast.
We drove across the Heights stopping at the viewpoint for a walk. Stunning views of snow capped mountains. It was really warm in the sun, not a breathe of wind and so quiet.
Next a walk at Loch Kinellan . All the ducks and swans are starting to pair up.
Next stop was Loch Achilty where more snow was covering the ground. Plenty of water in the Loch, no mallards today.
We stopped at David’s for a cup of tea before heading home via Udale Bay. A flock of at least 25 Whooper swans were on one of the sand banks.
Home to watch a live between Dalscone and CHF. Strange to see Rob and Dave at Dalscone , a fun live :)
