The downside to testing recipes from other people is that sometimes their instructions are a bit *wide of the mark* (this is the polite version). This cake is now nearly on twice the suggested cooking time.

This chocolate cake has the potential to be a truly spectacular cake - from someone who really isn't a chocolate fan. However the suggested icing makes me want to curl up in a ball - HOW much sugar can one person reasonably ingest?

I am sure the cake will be a beauty but I will be adding my own icing (mascarpone, cocoa powder and icing sugar).
