The last bit of snow?
Children were making use of the last bit of snow at the edge of the field and having great fun on sledges. Perhaps this is the last bit of snow for this year. Not that we've had very much.
Today I found a box of old newspapers - even older than the ones our daughter had stored. They seemed to be ones my mother had kept as they were 1940s and 1950s - mostly The Yorkshire Post with important headlines - 'We have climbed Everest', 'Churchill Resigns' or some royal occasion. Then I found some papers from the 1970s and wondered why I had kept them as they didnt seem to be anything out of the ordinary. It was when I looked at the dates that I realised I had kept the daily papers from the day each of our daughters were born. I had forgotten all about it. I wonder whether they want them!
