Appetizers.
Definitely an EB today, but also just about all I accomplished. Our next door neighbors are coming over for a happy hour, and I decided to make a chicken liver/mushroom pâté, and, in case they hate chicken livers, I made some red pepper spread. Neither is particularly complicated to make, but it still took me quite awhile.
Blake spent the night last night because Peter took Jim and Dana to the airport early this morning for the beginning of their Patagonia adventure. By this time tomorrow they will be in Buenos Aires. I don't envy them the long flight, but they are much better travelers than I am, and have lots of amenities like sound canceling headphones to get them through.
Blake went to sleep on the rug next to our bed last night, but when I got up in the night, he had moved. When I woke up this morning I couldn't move my legs. I could see Spike in his usual place and by the time I struggled to a sitting position discovered that it was Blake asleep on my legs. Peter thought he might stay in San Francisco tonight, but it is still raining and not particularly conducive to doing much there, so he came home, picked up Blake and accepted an invitation to dinner tomorrow.
We are getting really tired of rain....
