They're Back!

Swallows swooping and twittering everywhere, returning to their nests in the eaves of houses. Wish we could have some nesting in ours, but unlikely with the cats... I do want to put some ceramic ones on our walls, though. Here a National Geographic article about their saudade symbolism for the Portuguese.

An extra of Mike working on the ex-carbuncle; I mixed a couple of barrow loads of mortar again.

Gratefuls:
- chats with Rodrigo, a random Austrian, and Petronilha on the way to the market
- stocked up with fruit and veg and cheese and honey and eggs again
- getting a wash done eventually after the overload switch went crazy; Mike's done a temporary fix
