Rock star birthday

Our niece Clio is 18 today and as V is her godfather we collected with her parents, some of her friends and other parts of the family in the Cinnamon Club which is a lovely Indian restaurant in Westminster for a delicious meal.  We walked back to the tube past beautiful Westminster Abbey all lit up and glittering in the frost. 

The earlier part of the day was Pilates, and then a long zoom with Wendy and Noemi, our core team. Before I left mid afternoon for London going via Liberty to get my eyebrows done.  

To explain the picture, I bought Clio a silver necklace on Etsy, in the shape of a chainsaw.  She’s in a band called ‘Man Woman Chainsaw’ so it seemed an appropriate idea. She was thrilled!  Etsy is a great source of mad ideas turned into reality - I literally typed in ‘chainsaw necklace’.  Most were in America and designed for blokes who chop down trees. But this one was detailed and delicate and made in Penryn.  The seller was friendly and communicative and speeded up delivery so I got it in time. Result!
