Made from Scrap
This dragonfly has landed at Dartington near Totnes. It was made by the ReSTORE project which is based there, using scrap materials. The ReSTORE project combines the skills of volunteers and local upcycling artists to Rediscover, Recreate & Rejuvenate items of donated furniture and furnishings.
They run affordable drop in sessions for learning furniture repair, surface finishes, seat caning, some basic upholstery, wild weaving & peg looming, and also host monthly Repair Cafes on the last Saturday of each month. People are invited to bring non electrical household goods, tools and furniture to learn how to repair them for a donation.
The wings gently move in the wind.
We walked to Dartington today on a very murky showery day which was brightened up by this creation.
