International Women’s Day

This excellent book was written by a friend, Melanie Crump, a friend who sadly is no longer with us. She was a funny, talented poet, and writer, full of life, who died too young. Not to be confused with Melania Trump, she used to say. Melanie was passionate about history and the roles of women.Thinking of her today. 

The speaker at the Museum was Kevin Dixon 
on the origin of place and street names in Torbay. There were over 100 people in the audience, a record for recent years. Capacity is 110. Local History is the most popular subject.
