Mr. Bear

My Mum loved brassware and my Dad liked to visit local auctions. As a consequence we had brass ornaments everywhere at home.  I still have some boxes containing her collection.  If I'm waiting for it to come back into fashion I think I may have to wait some time.
One item that escaped and lives on our hearth is Mr. Bear. He's a money box and over the years we have put loose change in him, and Julia has taken it out (with permission).  He continues to perform the same function nowadays, and Julia still does her bit when she visits.
I think Alice will be taking over her role before long :-)
