Gate

Another slow day and, apart from nipping out for a swim (water not so warm today!) it's been a local day. The overnight snow soon melted and the heavier afternoon stuff hasn't yet managed to lay.

My shoulder is improving, but in other news my mum fell over in her garden yesterday and was outside for some time before help arrived (not from me; I'm 250 miles away!). She seems fine now, and simply leant over to reach something and kept going. Worrying though, especially given that 250 miles...

Absolutely not on topic but here's the pedestrian gate into our burial ground; the construction of which was why I became a parish councillor back in 2007. I like the way the black oak gate stands out against the horizon and the oak shelter to the right.

My term as parish councillor comes to an end in May this year, and everyone seems intent on asking me if I"m standing again. Finding people who'll do stuff for no financial reward is harder now that the times are themselves harder.
