…on a 17th century plate from a contemporary atlas. This plate was engraved in Jan Jansson’s workshop (“apud…” not “per”!). After his death in 1664, part of his plates were taken on by Frederik de Wit, the author of most of the plates and the compiler of this atlas. On last Monday I received the work back from the restaurateur, after one year of an excellent job.
