Winter in March

A cold wind, which has brought a lot of snow from the north.  When it wasn't snowing, there was beautiful sunny spells.

I had to clear a snow covered car, before heading off to work in the airport.  I've been on late shift today.  I started on the check-in desk, and there was a few delays due to the weather, and Edinburgh was cancelled.  More minor delays due to de-icing and snow closures while clearing the runways.  Walkies with Sammy around the village.  Even though it was -2, my hands kept warm. Warm by the peat fire now.

It started snowing late last night.  A good three inches fell, if not more.  I do love a good dump of snow, but much prefer it during actual winter months, although that doesn't usually happen.  This past few years we've certainly seen an increase in snow days here, still nothing like the good old days.  The northern isles had a lot more, with a couple of snow ploughs ground to a halt.  A winter wonderland scene taken from my bedroom window, Houl Road, Scalloway.
