We woke to misty conditions, showers too and finally blue sky and hot sunshine. 

After breakfast and vacating our room we were free to participate in various Wellness activities and to enjoy the spa facilities until 9pm. We took a guided nature walk before soaking in the outside mineral pools once again. 

The main photo is of the Maruia Riverbank with surrounding mountains and morning mist.

The first set of extra photos show views of the four outside spa pools and the second set of photos include a native fern, a very friendly native South Island Robin and two views of the nearby section of the Lewis Pass. I love driving through these trees whenever we take this favourite route to Christchurch and further south.

This afternoon we drove the short distance to our next destination.
