Heading up from the creek

Oh what a glorious morning. Blue sky and so much snow. I got out early for a short snowshoe down to the creek at the bottom of the Old Road. It was short but very strenuous. The snow was up to my knees or higher so a lot of high stepping. The sun and wind was going to knock all that snow off of the trees and I wanted to be out in the stillness of it all. It was much easier climbing back up the hill as I just walked in my steps.
The extras: Dan took a picture of me making a snow angel. There is nothing quite like the feeling of just falling backwards into a huge mass of soft snow. I had him there to help me get up. Yesterday I made a snow angel and lay there for a while letting the snow fall on me. It was very peaceful but I had a hard time getting up and it sort of ruins the snow angel. Then of course the snow angel from the deck.
