Càrn a'Chlamain

First 'munro' of 2023 - and boy, did we choose the perfect day for it :-))

... back home now after a wonderful expedition up in Glen Tilt, getting to the top of Càrn a'Chlamain: main snap shows my two walking partners (confusingly 'M' and 'M'!) at the summit cairn: just look at those conditions!

We cycled-in (on the valley-floor track) for an hour, to help with the available daylight; then a 5-hour mountain walk; then an hours' cycle back to base - extras in order:

- setting off along Glen Tilt, on the bikes
- my two companions on the way up the lower slopes
- nearing the summit and quite a bit of ice/snow
- the final approach to the summit: plenty of snow
- the inevitable summit-selfie of myself, 'M' & 'M' :-)
- 'M' and myself at the summit

A marvelous days' cycling & walking: will sleep well tonight!
