The Beauty of Icicles

When the sunlight illuminates icicles, it can be quite magical.  They sparkle and sometimes they can even create tiny rainbows.  Most hang straight off the edge of the roof but these formed on the lilac bush outside my window.  I won't be venturing out today as another snowstorm has started.  Maybe another 6-7 inches before it ends tomorrow morning.  It will be warming so the snow will be heavier too.  Here you take the good with the bad and wait for spring to arrive.  There was an article in the Washington Post about being happier and they suggest "snacking on joy".  I think these beautiful, sparkling icicles would qualify as a joy snack.
