Dogwoods?

The low afternoon sun really brought out the colour on these delicate stems. I think they’re dogwoods? They’re really beautiful.

A crisp , cold, sunny winter’s day, mostly. The odd shower scudded through this morning while I was at the allotment for the first time this year. My fingers were cold despite the gloves and the work.

Made a start by clearing up all the raspberry canes, digging out an old gooseberry bush and gathering loads of leaves from an adjacent oak. Found some super parsnips to bring home together with some fairly decent leeks. The less said about the winter cabbages and swede the better.
