It's Good For You

On a normal Mono Monday I would have been very happy to use as my main blip the extra of Dublin's 121 m high (and sharp) Spire (aka The Stiletto In The Ghetto). However today is my birthday, and a big one too, so I am using a photo of me, courtesy of mrsfb (set up by me though, and using my camera, with my new birthday present lens).

Yes we have been to the Guinness Storehouse. Well worth a visit though we decided to pass on the included 'free' pints as the rooftop bar was heaving and full of people waving their arms and phones about taking selfies in all directions. Instead we retired to the relative quiet of the café and shared some 'not birthday' cake. We are getting old you know.

We've also managed to fit in a visit to Trinity College to see The Book Of Kells and the Long Library. We also saw the oldest harp in Ireland, now adopted of course as the symbol of the Irish government.

We've seen and done all the things we really wanted to see and do, so tomorrow (our last full day here) can be spent just pootling around.

Apologies for my lack of comments on your journals, there just isn't time! I will catch up when we get back home later in the week.

Birthday Surprise
I had to make do with a WhatsApp video of the boys singing Happy Birthday to me today, but that was a nice surprise too.
