Brookie’s Day
Got up early since Brooklyn’s last game of the season started at 9:00. Hubby was helping the Knights prepare the meal for the CareNet “baby shower” at the church hall. Brooklyn played a lot of the game; scored 6 points and did well defensively. She had a large fan club in attendance. Even two of her soccer team members came to watch. They won 45-24 giving them an undefeated season and the league championship. It was such a non-confrontational game; each team played hard but with respect and good sportsmanship. I was proud of all those girls. At 3:15, she had a soccer scrimmage. This year they will be using a full size field. Her team won 1-0. My sister, BIL and hubby joined me at the game. We did a bit of shopping and will kick back the rest of the evening. I am going to try to put Lauren’s photo of baby Isla in my extra since I am not sure when I will actually get to see her. So far, big brother River is amazed at her. We decided we’ll make our first 2023 trip to WV 9-15 March. Chase will stay here with the kitties. Hope your weekend ended on a happy note like ours. Thanks a bunch for your visits, all your stars, hearts and kind comments lately. They mean so much. Stay safe. “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” - Michael Jordon
