Finlandia and Tone Poems

The Saskatoon Youth Orchestra joined the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra for the performance of Finlandia (see extra for photo taken while we waited for the performance to begin).  The youth orchestra was replaced by the University of Saskatchewan Greystone Singers and Aurora Voce who sang with the orchestra for the remainder of the program. The music was accompanied by visuals projected on the screen you see in the photo. Without the visuals I would have found the remainder of the program heavy going. I really enjoyed the evening. D said he was bored.
