More moon

Another day ticked
off.  Shame it's so hard right now.
But spring is coming!

Another day of me whinging about half term.  Sorry.  Ben slept OK, woke around 5:20, not much to report from the morning.  We had a Tesco delivery and then took Leo for a walk, Ben was really tired and didn't want to come but I said once we got to the park he could just sit on a bench and I'd do the loop with Leo.  He decided to go in the playground and have a swing whilst I walked around the main path with the dog, I could see him at all times but I was too far away to intervene if things went pear shaped.. it felt like a reasonable risk.  He quite enjoyed the freedom I think.  Leo enjoyed the walk, he stole my hat and ran off at full pelt with it.  Made me laugh.  We arrived home and the lovely opposite neighbours were there chatting with another dog and owner and they had the little schnauzer/poodle (schipoo??) that they look after with them too.  We have known little Molly for years and it was sweet to see Leo give her a friendly sniff and not overdo it, he's been so jumpy and barky with other dogs so far but he and Molly seemed to hit it off, so fingers crossed there's hope for him being more appropriately sociable with other dogs in the future!  I wanted some fish so Ben and I headed off to the fishmonger.  I told him if they didn't have what I wanted we would come back tomorrow as we could swap dinners around between Friday and Saturday.  I thought I'd covered my bases but inevitably it didn't work out that way.  We arrived and the woman ahead of us ordered the last of what we wanted.  Ben started shouting and jumping, banging his feet etc.  I managed to get him to leave with me, as I called to the fishmonger we'd be back tomorrow.  It took him a while to calm down to get in the car but then it was all OK.  At home we had lunch and Mr KCNQ2Haiku suggested a walk around the brook,  Ben was a nightmare, he was shouting about everything and very confrontational.  It was not a pleasant walk.  He calmed down a lot at home and I set him up with the TV and a snack whilst I had a chat with the social care team about his support (which is still non-existent) He was OK initially but then older teen came home from school and it all kicked off again so I had to finish the call and we agreed we'd talk via email next week.  We stomped some of the drama out by crushing cardboard boxes for the recycling and jumping in the blue bin and the rest of the afternoon was OK.  We decided to have another walk around the brook at 6pm to get some fresh air and vanquish the previous walk's demons!  That went very well and everyone was much happier.  Hopefully the rest of the evening will be a bit more Friday-ish.  I have high hopes for the red wine forecast! The photo was the moon (obviously) which I thought looked lovely on our walk, you could also see what I think were Jupiter and Venus but they were too small to photograph! So you're stuck with another moon from me!
