There is so much to say about today (and as usual I’m catching up hugely with Blips and Blipping, but I think this time there is a real life reason - note reason rather than excuse although most excuses are also reasons really) 

We got the call at 5.30am and she was already having big old contractions. Short story short, it was all fast and furious, and he was born before 11am!!!!! My daughter is a warrior queen. He is an incredibly beautiful 8lbs. I know all grandparents say their grandchild is gorgeous but he really is. I suspect they say that too …but he actually is.

It felt a very long day to me so to the new parents it must have been beyond but they are both over the moon with their beautiful son. 

I feel like I’m living in Surreal World. (I’m writing this 11 days from this day and I still feel somewhat bamboozled by it all)
