Walking Wombat

Chapter 1 Page 3

The Blackwood River never ceases to throw up a suprise or two and today as I approached the river my heart skipped a beat when I noticed a congregation of Black Swans quietly soaking in the first rays of the sun.  It was a truly beautiful sight.  Tomorrow I will make sure I have my Sony RX10 with me as I did see a dolphin fishing in the shallow waters near the river mouth a little later and would love to have been able to capture the action.  It’s such a different back yard to the one we’re used to at Wombat Hollow, quite surreal and just as exciting.
