The Ice Storm Cometh...

..the storm was supposed to arrive late afternoon, so that left a bit of time to do last minute preparations...

First outing? To the library! Of course. One needs to be armed with books.. many books...and oh yes, a battery operated reading light in case of power outages.. The books were a life-saver...Peter May's new book kept me entertained throughout the day..and I plan to finish it tonight! 

A quick trip to the grocery store and then home to fill all the birds feeders..which, by the way, was much appreciated ...they came from far and wide..and some landed long enough for photos.They feasted and then were seen no more as the wind came up and the snow started to fly...It was going to be a wild night..snow and wind...but as of yet, no sign of freezing rain or ice pellets ....
