Nicky and her Nikon

Hunstanton, Norfolk

I left home at 7.30 this morning in pouring rain. Unexpectedly the motorway was flowing smoothly, as at that time and in that weather I expected it to be very sticky. I don’t like driving long distances, about +3 hours is fine for me, and thankfully that is what the journey was. I stopped after about 2 hours for a coffee and then got to the inn in good time before we were due to meet. It’s an old inn with a well known pub that serves excellent food In Snettisham, Norfolk.

We all met up at around noon, the photographer leader Justin discussed the plans for this afternoon, and then we set off. Thankfully the weather gods were kind and we had no rain, it wasn’t too cold, and we even had a sunset! We went to Hunstanton beach where we spent time photographing the seascapes patterns, and then climbed over these huge rocks to wait for the tide to come in which is when I took this photo. As soon as we got our shots we quickly retreated back to the beach as the tide was coming in quickly - we were all wearing wellies so could get back with dry feet. We stayed for the sunset and then left as the tide was coming up high on the beach.

We have no Wi-Fi and no phone signal other than one bar so I am struggling to upload this blip. I eventually airdropped it to my phone and so I hope this works.
